Tolsia High School Career-Technical Education Instructors recently visited The Robert C. Byrd Center of Manufacturing in Huntington, WV and the Marshall University Aviation Technology Program at Tri-State Airport. The Instructors that made the trip were: Eric Crum, Carpentry, Alvra Adams- Welding, Sean Meddings – Advance Manufacturing and Career-Technical Administrators Ric Morrone, Tolsia and Will Totten from Spring Valley High School.
The group got to meet with instructors and administrators at both facilities. A tour of the facilities and gathering information regarding linking programs at the high schools to the offerings at the post-secondary level rounded out the visits. The visit was coordinated by Wayne County Schools Director of High Schools, Mr. Greg Miller.
Tolsia High Career-Technical Education Department Administrator Ric Morrone said, “We continue to try to grow in our knowledge and skills. In this way we are better able to prepare our students for their paths into college and/or careers. Working with our post-secondary partners in training and education gives us the tools to better prepare our students for the next level in their development. I want to thank Wayne County Schools for continuing to support Career-Technical Education at the level they do.”
