Tomorrow's theme is Festive Dress, and we will be hosting our third annual Holiday Hoopla. Students can bring money to purchase small gifts for family and friends (all items are $5 & under). See attached picture for more information about this event!
Today, Rick Griffith and Dr. Lawerence visited a group of students to present awards to three of our students for winning the Pumpkin House and Marshall University Math Club Puzzle Middle School contest. In October, students were given an opportunity to complete the puzzle to enter into the competition. Of the students that competed, Buffalo Middle School came out with three winners.
Congratulations to Jace Hager (1st place), Logan Fraley (2nd place), and Scout Maynard (3rd place). These three students were recognized today and received a handmade trophy by Rick Griffith along with a check for $40. We are extremely proud of these students in this accomplishment.

8th Grade Families: The SV CTE visit and high school scheduling will be rescheduled for after Christmas break. We will announce when we have a new date!
Wayne County Schools will be on a two-hour delay for Tuesday, December 16, 2025.
All events for elementary and middle are cancelled for today. No practice either. High School may practice.
Due to all the delays and cancellations, we have moved the 8th grade CTE visit to tomorrow, 12/16. Scheduling with the HS counselors will be Wednesday, 12/17. I have attached information about options for high school classes, so you can discuss with your students at home before they complete their scheduling. Middle School Math Field Day has been changed to Thursday, January 8, 2026, due to the possible weather tomorrow.
Middle School Math Field Day is cancelled for today. The plan is to have it tomorrow. If more weather moves in, the county will reschedule it.
On Friday, our 8th grade students will be visiting the CTE building to learn about the programs offered there. Next Monday, they will be working with the SV counselors to fill out their preference sheet for ninth grade. Please discuss these options with your students this weekend, so that they are prepared to complete their schedules on Monday!
Attached are our bell schedules for early release and 2-hour delay days. Our lunch times are a little different on these days, and we wanted to make you all aware! Also, if anyone kept their student home today due to the weather, just give us a call or fill out the online absence form to let us know!
