Tomorrow is the last day of College Application & Exploration Week. The spirit day theme is to dress as your dream career! We will also be having Career Day at school. Finally, Friday night we will have our Halloween Dance from 7-9 pm.

BMS would like to extend a HUGE thank you to Modern Metals in Ashland, KY for their generous donation of half our candy for our Halloween trick or treat this afternoon. They donated $550 worth of candy. We are also thankful for parents, teachers, and community members who also donated towards this event.

The Beta Convention is next week. Students who are attending were given permission slips two weeks ago. These need to be returned by FRIDAY along with the $10 for dinner on Wednesday.

The BMS staff sure shone bright today as part of our College Application and Exploration Spirit Week! We're looking forward to seeing the creativity the rest of the week! #YourFutureIsBright #cfwv #caew

Just a reminder of this week's activities: College Application & Exploration Spirit Week, Halloween Day on Thursday, and Halloween Dance Friday night.

Next week is WV's College Application & Exploration Week. We will have many activities throughout this week focused on postsecondary education and awareness, culminating with our third annual Career Day on Friday! Please read the attached letter for more information and encourage your students to participate in our Spirit Week!

Our Student Leadership Council’s Food Drive was a great success!! Our homerooms collected 862 items. Since we had such a successful turnout, we decided to award doughnut parties to the top two homerooms. Our winning homerooms were Mrs. Canterbury’s and Mrs. Buckhannon’s. Those donations combined with the donations from the football game put us well over 1000 items. The Facing Hunger Foodbank reported that this was more than enough for over 500 meals!! We are so proud of our students and our community.

Some of our BMS Herdiculture students came together to assist in getting pumpkins ready for display at the Pumpkin House!

We are having a Halloween celebration on Thursday, October 31st and are requesting candy donations. Please send these to the office by Wednesday.

We have a busy week coming up! Next week is College Application & Exploration Week - we will have college themed activities throughout the week culminating with our third annual Career Day on Friday, November 1st. On Thursday, students can bring $2 to dress in a costume (no weapons or masks). We are asking the community for candy donations for that day! Please just bring those donations to the main office. Finally, Friday evening we will have a Halloween dance at the school from 7-9 pm.
