The Buffalo Beta Clubs are working together to collect donations for the communities affected by the recent flooding. Cleaning supplies are one of their biggest needs right now. You can drop off donations at either Buffalo Elementary or Middle, or you can reach out to a Beta member. The donation drive will be running from February 20-26th.

Families: a letter about an upcoming student climate survey went home today. I have also attached information about this survey here. This survey is voluntary for students and families. If you would like to OPT OUT your student, please complete and return the form sent home today. If it is okay for your student to take the survey, you do not have to do anything. There is also a parent survey, and we would love your participation. There is a unique code that has to be entered in order to take the survey. This code will be shared on Schoology. If you have any questions about the parent or student survey, feel free to contact the school counselor!

Our eighth grade students were able to experience the Get a Life event on February 13th. This event teaches students about how to budget, what it is like to live financially as an adult, and the difference post-secondary education and/or training can do for you! Thanks to our wonderful volunteers and the State Treasurer's Office for hosting this annual event.









Our seventh grade students were able to experience the Reality Store on December 12th. This event teaches students about how to budget as well as what it is like to live financially as an adult! Thanks to our wonderful volunteers and the WVU Extension office for hosting this annual event.










Thanks to the Lewis Foundation for funding our third six weeks incentive reward activity, which was a Video Game Truck and movies in the gym!

To celebrate National School Counseling Week, students were invited to participate in a Self-Awareness Challenge. All students who participated were put into a drawing for a Mental Health basket. We had 1 winner for each grade level as well as a staff winner! Thanks to everyone who participated!






Students arrived to school on Friday with Locker Gram surprises! This activity was a fundraiser for our Band. Thanks to Mr. Anderson for putting this on!

Next week (February 10th-14th), Buffalo Middle School’s Student Leadership Council will be sponsoring a donation drive for the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter. Students can turn in donations to their homeroom classrooms. The homeroom with the most donations will receive a party!! Donations from community members can also be turned into the main office.
