If they complete 2 of the 4 days, they will be entered into a drawing for a Mental Health basket. This challenge encourages students to practice self-appreciation and reflection in honor of National School Counseling Week. Please encourage your students to participate!

We are excited to announce our next 3 incentive reward trips for the upcoming six week terms: AMP trampoline park, Dirty Birds baseball game, and Spare Time in Ironton, OH. The biggest item that disqualifies students is their attendance. Please make sure that when your student is absent, you either call the school or fill out the absence excuse form: https://bms.wayn.k12.wv.us/o/bm/forms/absence-excuse-form-bms-24-25

Students who scored in the 25th percentile or lower on the Star Reading & Math benchmark testing will be bringing home a paper explaining their test scores as well as interventions that are being done in the classroom to help them improve. If you would like to request a meeting with the teachers to discuss this further, please fill out the bottom portion of the form and return to school.

Buffalo Middle is partnering with the Ceredo-Kenova Public Library to increase our students' access to books. Students will be able to check out books from the Ceredo-Kenova Public Library’s website and have them delivered to the school with no cost to the child. Students will also have access to the library’s digital titles via laptop, smartphone, tablets, and e-readers. In order to access this opportunity, students will have to have a library card through the Ceredo-Kenova Public Library. Today, students were given applications to be completed by their parent/guardian and returned to their homeroom teacher. We would like these applications returned by Friday, so the library can start producing library cards, but we will take them at any time. Thank you!!

Attention Special Olympics Athletes & Families: New participation forms were sent home this week for all who want to be involved in the upcoming events. Please fill out and return by Tuesday, January 28th. If you did not receive one, please reach out to your child’s case manager or let the school know, and we can send one home.
