For our Student Leadership Council’s January service project, our students are completing a fundraiser through Yuda Bands. Yuda Bands is a non-profit organization whose goal it is to provide educational opportunities to students in countries that don’t have access to free public education. Our Student Leadership Council will be selling bracelets the next two weeks to raise funds to help sponsor a year of education for the student they have chosen to sponsor. They will be selling the bracelets primarily during lunch and during home basketball games for $10 each. The student they have chosen to sponsor is María del Carmen Tacen Lozan. She is a high school student in Guatemala. Her mother passed away in 2019 and her and her siblings currently live with her aunt who cannot afford to send her to school. Maria hopes to complete school with the goal of becoming a nurse one day. We hope to sell enough bands to help Maria get one step closer to her goal.
Families: Attached is the fourth edition of the Social Media alerts from the county office.

Students will be bringing home this paper tonight if they have at least 1 unexcused absence this six weeks. Part of our upcoming incentive trip is that students cannot have any unexcused absences for the six weeks term. Please get these notes turned in to the office ASAP!
