Just a reminder that students have tomorrow and Monday off. Students will return to school on Tuesday, October 13th. Next week we will be selling Boo Bags ($2) & Locker Grams (1$) in the library during intramurals to raise some money for our library!
Congratulations to all of our students who participated in our School Social Studies Fair yesterday. Attached are pictures of those who placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention. All of our 1st place winners will be invited to the County Social Studies Fair (date/location TBD).
Fall Parent Teacher Conferences will be Monday, October 20th from 4-6 pm.
Today our seventh-grade students participated in WVU Extension Office's Reality Store program. Students were given a simulated job and family and had to plan a monthly budget based on expenses, such as childcare, transportation, and insurance. We love this event because it teaches students life skills, and it also prepares them for their futures. We are so thankful for our volunteers who give up their morning to help with this event!

CAROLINA CLARK - 8th Grade - September 2025 Student of the Month! Carolina always puts forth her best effort and has a good attitude about school. She is a pleasure to have in class.
LUCAS PENNINGTON - 8th Grade - September 2025 Student of the Month! Lucas works hard and is very personable. He is always willing to lend a helping hand.
XANDER SIMERMAN - 7th Grade - September 2025 Student of the Month! Xander is determined to do his best! He is always ready to learn, leads by example, and gives his best; he inspires those around him to do the same.
RUBY PERRY - 7th Grade - September 2025 Student of the Month! She has a positive attitude, is kind toward others, and is dedicated her learning. She is enthusiastic and that attitude is contagious! Ruby leads by example, shows respect, and consistently puts forth her best.
LEVI CHATTERTON - 6th Grade - September 2025 Student of the Month! Levi is a leader and shows responsibility both inside and outside of the classroom. He fully participates in instruction and sets a wonderful example for his peers.
MICHAELA RICE - 6th Grade - September 2025 Student of the Month! Michaela is a wonderful student to have in class. She consistently goes above and beyond in the classroom. She is dedicated to her success.

Next week (Oct 6th-10th) our Student Leadership Council is hosting a food drive through the Facing Hunger Food Bank!! Students can turn non-perishable food items to their homeroom classes. The class with the most donations will receive a breakfast party!! We will also host donation events at our home volleyball game on Monday (10/6) and our home football game on Thursday (10/9) where visitors can gain free entry with the donation of five non-perishable food items.
