JAZALYN ADKINS - 8th Grade - January 2026 Student of the Month! Jazzy is friendly and always willing to take on new challenges. Her pleasant, optimistic attitude is a bright light in the classroom.
LIAM STILTNER - 7th Grade - January 2026 Student of the Month! Liam is the definition of dedication and character. He completes his schoolwork with focus and determination, never giving up when something is challenging. Liam regularly supports others and treats everyone with courtesy and respect. His leadership and willingness to do the right thing make him an excellent example for his peers.
LUCY BALL - 7th Grade - January 2026 Student of the Month! Lucy has such a strong work ethic and positive attitude. She consistently puts in her best effort on assignments and takes pride in her work. Lucy is always willing to help classmates and shows kindness through her polite manners and respectful behavior. Her reliability and thoughtful actions make her a wonderful role model in our classrooms.

We are so proud to announce that all of our students who participated in the Regional Social Studies Fair yesterday placed! Our first-place winners will be going on to the state competition April 28th in Charleston. Congratulations to all of the hard work!
We are excited to announce our end of year testing dates for the week of May 11th! There is no school on May 12th for Election Day, but we will be testing every other day that week. Please make sure your student is present these days. We are looking forward to seeing the results of a year's worth of hard work from our staff and students!

We are so excited to officially announce the launch of our Middle School Cooking Club! Over the past few weeks, our students have been hard at work in the kitchen learning basic cooking skills, practicing kitchen safety, and creating some delicious dishes together.
From measuring and mixing to teamwork and taste-testing, our young chefs have already shown so much creativity and enthusiasm! 👏
This club is about more than just cooking; it’s about building confidence, learning life skills, working together, and having fun along the way. We are so proud of the effort our students have put in during these first few weeks.

DAVID TACKETT - 8th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! David demonstrates the qualities of an outstanding student. He is hardworking, polite, and respectful, always approaching each day with a pleasant attitude. He never complains, consistently checks his grades to stay on track, and puts forth his best effort in every class activity. GEORGIA SOWDER - 7th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! Besides being a beast on the court, Georgia works just as hard in the classroom. She is kind and encouraging to others. Her laugh is contagious and can brighten any room.
NOAH SMITH - 7th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! Noah quietly makes a difference. He does his best every day, he helps those around him, and he encourages his peers. He is very meticulous and wants to make himself and others proud.
JERRICK GOODLETT - 6th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! Jerrick has demonstrated noticeable improvement in both effort and performance. He has been more engaged during lessons and consistently completing assignments on time.
CLARA BONAR - 6th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! Clara works hard to produce high-quality work and shows strong attention to detail in everything she does. She takes pride in her work, carefully follows directions, and is always willing to try again if she fails.

Report cards were sent home with students today. Please take a few moments to review your child’s grades and reach out if you have any questions or concerns. You may notice that the print quality leaves a little to be desired. Unfortunately, our copier has been haywire, and we’ve been going back and forth with the copier company for months trying to get it fully resolved. We appreciate your patience as we continue to battle the machine and advocate for clearer copies!
