TEAGAN COLLINS - 7th Grade Student of the Month (Feb. 25) - She is a dedicated student who is active in the Prayer Group. She takes great care of the chickens. She is the epitome of a helpful peer and model student. She loves to read and is a joy to have in the classroom.
TREVOR DONALD - 7th Grade Student of the Month (Feb. 25) - He is a kind-hearted student who loves animals. He always brings a smile to everyone's face with his sense of humor. He does great on his schoolwork but also goes out of his way to make BMS a better place.
GRANT DEERFIELD - 6th Grade Student of the Month (Feb. 25) - Grant is a wonderful addition to any classroom. He is an active participant in all subjects and is not afraid to ask questions. He continuously strives to be his very best.
GRACI BAILEY - 6th Grade Student of the Month (Feb. 25) - Graci is exactly what you want in a student. She is kind, respectful, and responsible. She is always doing the right thing and completes every task with a smile on her face.
CASHTON LOVEJOY - 8th Grade Student of the Month (Jan. 25) - Cash is a leader amongst his peers. He is respectful and always has a good attitude.
GABBY JOHNSTON - 8th Grade Student of the Month (Jan. 25) - Gabby is an awesome student who is always looking for a challenge. She is ready and willing to help others in times of need.
LEIA WILLIS - 7th Grade Student of the Month (Jan. 25) - Leia is very quiet until you get her laughing, which is contagious. She puts a lot of effort into her work and being a good student. Leia goes above and beyond to get her work completed.
AIDEN COLLINS - 7th Grade Student of the Month (Jan. 25) - Aiden has become very conscientious of his grades this six weeks. He has taken initiative to come in and work on missing assignments. Aiden is a good friend and willing to help anyone.
JOVIE COBLE - 6th Grade Student of the Month (Jan. 25) - Jovie is such a breath of fresh air! She is a motivated student who will do anything to succeed. She is respectful, responsible, and always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
ELIJAH RAMEY - 6th Grade Student of the Month (Jan. 25) - Elijah is wonderful to have in class. Not only does he work hard, but he is also a kind and courteous student who genuinely cares about his teachers and peers.
JUDE LYNCH - 8th Grade Student of the Month (Dec. 24) - Jude works hard at anything he does. He pushes himself to do his best at whatever is presented to him.
BAMA GEDE - 8th Grade Student of the Month (Dec. 24) - Bama has a great attitude every day. She is always up for a challenge and never gives up.
BENTLEY ORD - 7th Grade Student of the Month (Dec. 24) - Bentley goes that extra mile to complete his work and make sure he gets it completed accurately. He is a good friend to all and has such an easy smile.
AINSLEY BRUMFIELD - 7th Grade Student of the Month (Dec. 24) - Ainsley is kind-hearted and always willing to help others. She strives for perfection in all she does. Ainsley is that student that always "gets it."
NATE COY - 6th Grade Student of the Month (Dec. 24) - Nate is a diligent student who works very hard to be his best. He prioritizes his grades and demonstrates his responsibility daily.
MARLEE DAMRON - 6th Grade Student of the Month (Dec. 24) - Marlee is a top-notch student. She always goes above and beyond anything that is asked of her. She does everything with a smile on her face!
This week is National Drug & Alcohol Facts Week. NDAFW is an annual, week-long, health observance that inspires dialogue about the science of drug use and addiction among youth. It provides an opportunity to bring together scientists, students, educators, healthcare providers, and community partners—to help advance the science, so that we can improve the prevention and awareness of substance misuse in our own communities and nationwide.
Correction: State Social Studies Fair is April 11th, not the 4th.
All of our students who attended the Regional Social Studies Fair placed! The students who placed first will be moving on to the state competition on April 11th in Charleston. We are so proud of these students!
Don't forget to use our online absence excuse form when your student is out of school. According to WV state code, whenever students are absent, doctor or parent notes must be submitted within 3 school days of the student's return, or the days will be marked unexcused.
