We had a great showing yesterday at the Regional Social Studies Fair in Mason County. All of our participants placed! Our first place winners will be moving on to the State Competition on April 10th in Charleston!

Our eighth-grade students took a trip to the Spring Valley CTE last week to see the programs available to them in high school. There are currently 5 programs they can start in as freshmen. We have also added a PDF with more information under Documents on our website!
Please come out to our Spring Possum Palooza Craft & Vendor Fair THIS SATURDAY from 9 am - 3 pm! There will be over 30 vendors as well as food trucks. Weather permitting, it will be outside. If not, it will be inside the Kindergarten gym complex.
We are so proud of our buffalo bots!! These kids have worked so hard all year!! They have grown so much as coders, builders, and drivers. They can trouble shoot and help others. They all just work so hard. 🖤🤍 They competed in the WV State Robotics Competition over the last few days. These kids are pretty amazing!!

Students will bring home a paper tonight about our annual climate survey. This form does NOT need to be returned unless you DO NOT want your student to participate in the survey. If you DO NOT want them to participate, please complete the form & return to the office by March 22.
Today our students were informed about our American Heart Association event that we are holding at the end of this month. Our goal this year is to raise $1,500 for AHA. Hoops for Heart is a 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament that will be held on March 28th. Students pay $5 to play ($15 for a team) and $3 to watch the games. Ms. K. Davis's Math classes were challenged to memorize the digits of Pi. We celebrated the day by eating pie and Giovanni's pizza. Lena Staten won the big Pie Prize for memorizing 34 digits after 3.14. Happy Pi Day!!
ADDISON GARDNER - County Winner!!! Addy won the Young Writers contest for the 7th -8th Grade Category! She will be competing at the state level next!
SCOUT MAYNARD - County Winner!!! Scout won the Young Writers contest for the 5th - 6th Grade Category! She will be competing at the state level next!
AARON SNIDER - 8th Grade February Student of the Month - Aaron has a great attitude. He works hard and always tries his best.
BROOKE MATHIS - 8th Grade February Student of the Month - Brooke takes her time and works hard at everything she does. She is kind and helpful in and out of the classroom.
ALLY FRY - 7th Grade February 2024 Student of the Month - Ally is so helpful and sweet. She is the first one with her hand up to help, either in the classroom or with the CHICKENS!
JAKE FRY - 7th Grade Feb. 2024 Student of the Month - Jake is such a thoughtful student. He works hard and is conscientious. Jake participates in class and makes us smile.
KENDALL VANZANDT - 6th Grade February 2024 Student of the Month - Kendall is an attentive and responsible student who always has a big smile on her face. She is on top of her studies and understands the importance of education.
BENTLEY ROARK - 6th Grade February 2024 Student of the Month - Bentley begins each day with a greeting and leaves each classroom the same way. He is a hardworking student who is always willing to put in the extra effort.
