Our eighth-grade students took a trip to the Spring Valley CTE last week to see the programs available to them in high school. There are currently 5 programs they can start in as freshmen. We have also added a PDF with more information under Documents on our website!

We are so proud of our buffalo bots!! These kids have worked so hard all year!! They have grown so much as coders, builders, and drivers. They can trouble shoot and help others. They all just work so hard. 🖤🤍 They competed in the WV State Robotics Competition over the last few days. These kids are pretty amazing!! Stats from the day- 13729M- 25th in qualifiers, 16th in skills 13729R- 7th in qualifiers, 5th in skills, 3rd in finals 13729B- 13th in qualifiers, 2nd in skills, 2nd in finals 13729B- won Amaze Award and 2nd place Teamwork Champion, and have an invite to the World Championship in May

Today our students were informed about our American Heart Association event that we are holding at the end of this month. Our goal this year is to raise $1,500 for AHA. Hoops for Heart is a 3 vs. 3 basketball tournament that will be held on March 28th. Students pay $5 to play ($15 for a team) and $3 to watch the games. Ms. K. Davis's Math classes were challenged to memorize the digits of Pi. We celebrated the day by eating pie and Giovanni's pizza. Lena Staten won the big Pie Prize for memorizing 34 digits after 3.14. Happy Pi Day!!
