Starting next week! This is the information for the 3 week sports period for all of our sports. You must have a physical, and it cannot be dated before May 1st, 2023.
Report cards are ready to be picked up! Someone will be available at school from 9-2 starting tomorrow until the 13th if you would like to come by. We also still have certificates and awards for students who missed their grade-level ceremony. Please try to call before stopping by in case we had to run out of the office for something.
At our 7th and 8th grade ceremonies, students were given certificates from Gear Up to recognize their dedication & commitment to academic success! Students are automatically part of the Gear Up cohort all the way through high school & the first year after graduation! #GEARUPworks
Earlier this week, eighth grade students were able to experience using a VR headset while learning about the social work career field. Thanks to WVU and Professor Megan Gandy for this opportunity! #PlayHigher
If you missed the 8th grade promotion ceremony, or you did not pick up a Gear Up goodie bag at the ceremony, you can stop by the school anytime before June 13th to pick up your materials.

This morning, students had the opportunity to hear from State Trooper McFeeley about internet safety. We hope students take to heart everything they heard and put this safety into practice.

**Please wear gym shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes, hair pulled up in ponytail, and no jewelry. Bring water bottle.

Today a select group of 7th & 8th grade students were able to travel to the Clay Center for a STEM experience. They visited tables to see what types of careers they could pursue in the future, and then they heard from Kate the Chemist! #wvgearup #stemacademy
Last week, I visited all 3 feeder elementary schools to welcome them to Buffalo Middle. Each student was given a handout with important dates and information. Please see the information below!
TWO of our students were chosen as regional winners in the Kids Kick Opioids contest: Kara Kinser & Alexis Mounts. Their art will be displayed in the State Capitol in the fall, and their designs are in the running for the statewide competition. 8th Grade March Student of the Month - Buddy Napier! Buddy is a helpful student who enjoys volunteering in the library. He participates in class discussions and is always ready to answer a question.
