CAROLINE SMITH - 6th Grade - January 2026 Student of the Month! Caroline is a dedicated student who consistently works hard, stays focused on tasks, and puts in a strong effort to be successful. She is a wonderful addition to the classroom.

HAMMER MAYNARD - 6th Grade - January 2026 Student of the Month! Hammer is a motivated and personable student who is eager to learn, strives to do well academically, and builds positive relationships with peers and teachers through a friendly, respectful attitude.

We are so proud to announce that all of our students who participated in the Regional Social Studies Fair yesterday placed! Our first-place winners will be going on to the state competition April 28th in Charleston. Congratulations to all of the hard work!









We are excited to announce our end of year testing dates for the week of May 11th! There is no school on May 12th for Election Day, but we will be testing every other day that week. Please make sure your student is present these days. We are looking forward to seeing the results of a year's worth of hard work from our staff and students!

We are so excited to officially announce the launch of our Middle School Cooking Club! Over the past few weeks, our students have been hard at work in the kitchen learning basic cooking skills, practicing kitchen safety, and creating some delicious dishes together.
From measuring and mixing to teamwork and taste-testing, our young chefs have already shown so much creativity and enthusiasm! 👏
This club is about more than just cooking; it’s about building confidence, learning life skills, working together, and having fun along the way. We are so proud of the effort our students have put in during these first few weeks.

DAVID TACKETT - 8th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! David demonstrates the qualities of an outstanding student. He is hardworking, polite, and respectful, always approaching each day with a pleasant attitude. He never complains, consistently checks his grades to stay on track, and puts forth his best effort in every class activity. His dedication and commitment to excellence make him a role model for his peers.

She is very helpful, always willing to assist others, and is willing to help with any and all tasks in the classroom. She shows kindness and is consistently polite and respectful to both peers and adults. In addition, she puts forth great effort in her work, demonstrating a strong commitment to learning and excellence.

GEORGIA SOWDER - 7th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! Besides being a beast on the court, Georgia works just as hard in the classroom. She is kind and encouraging to others. Her laugh is contagious and can brighten any room.

NOAH SMITH - 7th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! Noah quietly makes a difference. He does his best every day, he helps those around him, and he encourages his peers. He is very meticulous and wants to make himself and others proud.

JERRICK GOODLETT - 6th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! Jerrick has demonstrated noticeable improvement in both effort and performance. He has been more engaged during lessons and consistently completing assignments on time.

CLARA BONAR - 6th Grade - December 2025 Student of the Month! Clara works hard to produce high-quality work and shows strong attention to detail in everything she does. She takes pride in her work, carefully follows directions, and is always willing to try again if she fails.

We are looking forward to our Spring Parent Teacher Conferences next Tuesday, the 10th, from 4-6:30 pm. Come out to meet with your student's team and discuss their progress this year!

Report cards were sent home with students today. Please take a few moments to review your child’s grades and reach out if you have any questions or concerns. You may notice that the print quality leaves a little to be desired. Unfortunately, our copier has been haywire, and we’ve been going back and forth with the copier company for months trying to get it fully resolved. We appreciate your patience as we continue to battle the machine and advocate for clearer copies!

Known for being a very sweet and kind individual, Teagan not only excels academically but treats everyone with respect and compassion, making her a wonderful friend and classmate.

NATE COY - 7th Grade - November 2025 Student of the Month! Nate is conscientious and diligent. He works hard and is always quick to smile. Nate is also a good friend and has everyone's back.
